A California man was shocked when he saw two mechanics driving his car through a Taco Bell drive-thru four hours after dropping it off at a Nissan dealership.

Randy Jones, 24, works two jobs to pay for his Nissan 350z - one of them, being a shift manager at a Taco Bell. He got into a wreck last year and took his car to Raceway Nissan in Riverside for a diagnostic test and oil change, KTLA reported.

Two mechanics decided to take Jones’s car for a little joy ride. They drove to a Taco Bell in Moreno Valley and got an unpleasant surprise.

“Next thing you know, about four hours later, I’m at work. I'm in drive thru and one of my cashiers, she goes, ‘Randy, hey look, your car is on drive through,’” Jones told KTLA. “As I looked closer, you know, it was the gentlemen with the raceway logo on their shirts.

“They didn’t know what to say. They were shocked, you know, they got caught.”

Jones called the dealership right away. They offered him 20 percent off any services and waived the charges for the test. They even offered to pay more than $3,000 worth of parts and labor.

Still, Jones said he was not happy.

“No, Im not, because at the end of the day, my car, it was still vandalized,” he explained. “I don’t know what those gentlemen could have done in my car.”

The service manager at Raceway Nissan told KTLA that the two mechanics have been terminated. He said they have strict rules in place and added that the two employees were two miles off the designated route service technicians are ordered to take for diagnosed tests.
